Title XIV - Pool and Spa Safety

The Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act was signed into law on December 17, 2007. In December 2008, the child safety law became effective. In striving to enhance the safety of public and private pools the new law encourages the use of multiple layers of protection to reduce the amount of child drownings and injuries caused by suction entrapment.
