Chicken Yakitori

4 boneless chicken breasts   
1 Tbs. fresh chopped ginger  
1 clove garlic, chopped
3 Tbs. soy sauce 1 tsp. curry powder 1 Tbs. sesame oil
2 tsp. honey 3 Tbs. sake or dry sherry

• Soak 24 bamboo skewers in cold water for 30 minutes.

• Slice chicken breasts into thin strips and thread onto skewers.

• Place soy sauce, sake or sherry, garlic, honey, sesame oil and ginger in shallow dish and stir.

• Add the skewers and spoon the marinade over them. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour or overnight.

• Preheat grill to medium-high.

• Remove chicken from marinade, grill chicken 2-3 minutes on each side until chicken is fully cooked.

 

 


 

Orange Sunset Paste

Great on fish, chicken or ribs!

2 Tbs. orange zest   
1/4c. orange juice 
1/4 c. grapefruit juice
1/2 c. fresh cilantro 1/4 c. ginger, chopped 1/4c. olive oil
1/4 c. Grand Marnier
6 cloves garlic, minced    
4 tsp. habanero, minced
3 green onions, chopped   
2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. ground fennel
1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. black pepper

 

• In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth.

• Store refrigerated, in a sealed container.
